Reviews
Luka actually told his story with this work, although he almost deceived us that it was a manual. Best of all, it teaches us how we can tell our own story. Smart, witty, professional and fun, all in one place. The time of bad and boring presentations is in the past...
Maria Felkel
Adriatic Cluster HR Director, Nomad Foods
I have hundreds of books at home and I haven't been so excited by one for a long time! I can only conclude that once again it has been shown that when someone is passionate about something, it shows very nicely in the book he writes. Namely, this book was not written with the aim of impressing someone (although it did impress me), this book is impressive in itself because it conveys a huge experience in a simple and very well structured way.
Vedran Sorić
sales consultant and owner of the consulting company Sorbel Group
The book is fantastic! It gave me exactly what I needed: a clear overview of what was most important and concrete ideas for improvement. He says everything in a direct, fun and super useful way without banal directives or abstract rules. We all need this book.

Like a Masterchef, Luka Krejči provides instructions for creating structured, interesting and visually excellent presentations that will present your key ideas. "The Presentation Cookbook" is a great book that offers practical tips and examples, and her writing style makes it interesting and engaging to read.
Vedran Antoljak, expert in digital transformation and application of AI in business, Best Advisory
This is not only a book about presentations, but also a manual about the way of thinking and structuring one's own thoughts. Most often, this is the biggest challenge, because every presentation is first and foremost a thought project. The book demystifies numerous prejudices and beliefs in a very witty and entertaining way, thus introducing obvious, but often ignored, common sense. To a willing presenter it will bring a lot of A-HA moments!
Zrinka Bokulić
Aminess Hotels & Campsites, CEO
This book is a very useful tool for both experienced and completely inexperienced presenters - and provides a number of practical ideas on how to improve your presentation skills.

Zagreb Stock Exchange, CEO
About the book
Presentations are the language of modern business and are used at all levels of management, but also in education, science and the public sector. We do them for clients, partners, colleagues, investors or management, but about 80% of them are considered boring and ineffective by the audience. The "Presentation Cookbook" provides the reader with answers to key questions on how to design a presentation that instead of the answer "we don't have a budget!" will result in the answer "when do we start?!".
Based on twenty years of business experience, Luka Krejči formulated tips for preparing a successful presentation in the form of recipes, and each of them, like in a real cookbook, is accompanied by a visual representation. The book contains 51 recipes grouped into 5 chapters that follow the process of developing the content of the presentation: from approach, concept creation, story and visual displays (slides) with special emphasis on how to present figures.
The cookbook dispels many myths along the way, from the optimal number of slides or the number of notes on a slide to the misconception that 93% of communication is non-verbal, and only 7% is its content. Without underestimating the importance of performance, the greatest potential for improving the quality and result of our presentations lies precisely in the clarity, interest and persuasiveness of its content - WHAT to say and WHAT to show the audience.
Although we perceive presentations and PowerPoint as synonyms, the "Cookbook" is not a PowerPoint manual. The importance of PowerPoint for the quality of the content of the presentation is equal to the importance of Word for the quality of the content of the novel. The focus of the cookbook is the "invisible" part of preparing a presentation using often overlooked software - thinking!
The book is enriched with numerous witty and striking illustrations by Hana Tintor, which comment on business and private situations with which the reader can identify.
If we want to change the unfortunate statistics about the (in)effectiveness of our presentations, we need to abandon the "it's always been done" approach and fundamentally change the way we work. As the author explains, then we can turn presentations into a powerful means of communication and sales of our ideas, as well as the quality of our work.
About the author
Luka Krejči tries to reduce the number of unclear, boring and ineffective presentations. Through his own company Presentation since 2012, he has conducted hundreds of workshops for companies from various industries and experts of various profiles as well as all levels of management. He has also created hundreds of presentations for clients, as well as numerous individual consultations and preparations for the delivery of important presentations. As a long-term mentor in a local startup incubator, he helps teams present themselves and their ideas in the best light possible. He started his career in strategic consulting and then headed the strategy department in one of the largest regional telecoms. In addition to countless presentations, by working on strategic projects, he developed the ability to see the wider picture, structure and extract the essence from complex matter. His long-standing interest in design, architecture and psychology builds on that. Business presentations are such an unusual but natural intersection of his experience, abilities and inclinations. In 2003, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, and in 2011, he completed the Executive MBA studies at Cotrugli Business School as the best student of his generation.
